Let's start with "Ask a (Gringa) Spanish Interpreter."

I'd like to do one down the road on something like "Ask a True UU" (not as an insult to ogre, who did the last one, but meaning that UUism is truly what I consider my religion, as opposed to the many people who go there in search of something else).

Should we try to space these out so there aren't ten new ones at once?

Now that there are tags available to us, could we add a tag to each diary in this series, I suggest:
"Ask a ..."

With this recurring series, it really REALLY helps to have tag uniformity.  Unfortunately, the only people who can edit tags on other people's diaries are fpers.

It's just, the index is a lovely way to organize, but it someone misses putting in a link (which takes some html knowledge) or if you miss an oddly titled "Ask a ..." diary, then people lose a diary from the series.  Also, if people want to reread them in the intervening months, they have to dig out one of your indexes, rather than simply clicking the "Ask a ..." tag.

Check out what it did for the Monday Vigil.  That's a fantastic series and was very low on the tag list because of lack of uniformity.  Now it's in the top 10.  People can easily find it.  Look at this one, with at least 38 diaries in the series, it would shoot up to #7 on the list making this series very findable.

So whaddaya say?  I'll go shift my diary, and if you shift yours, and an fper shifts the others, we could make a very easily accessible public index --- with a tag.  Then you wouldn't have to go through explaining and hounding about html, just making sure people use the same tag.

ask me a question, but maybe people could use this diary as a way of alerting writers to the fact that they have a new question on their thread?

Or maybe they could ask the question here?  Just a thought.

I've been thinking of doing this for a while, but hadn't gotten around to it; mostly because I didn't think I'd have time to actually answer any questions.  Fortunately, I'm currently a Gentleman of Leisure (laid off from work for a week) and so I really don't have an excuse.

Well, I have the excuse that I have a dozen other projects I really should be working on...

I've never done an "ask a..." diary. Would I get a secret decoder ring or learn a secret handshake if I do? :)

Incidentally, this series and your compilation has to be one of the best, if not the best, services provided here. It perfectly captures what SP is all about. The diversity is inspiring. If I could give you a thousand cookies, I would.
