Sometimes he's identified as just a Unitarian (which could mean just a non-trinitarian Christian), but his wikipedia page has him as a UU.  If he's a UU, it's possible he's also an atheist/agnostic

it's basically meaningless, though it does reflect a certain social dominance. But at this point, it's more for interest than anything.

At the same time, it would be inaccurate to pretend that we're all one homogenous, single culture. We don't try to pretend that the lack of minority racial politicians isn't a problem - it is a problem, and reflects both a lack of representation and an underlying issue of access. Sure, religion is less of an issue, and I have more of a problem with lack of representation than overrepresentation (I figure that overrepresentation just means people have broken through whatever barrier might once have existed, and hopefully they're being picked on their merits, whereas underrepresentation can mean something far more sinister), but I do think it's worth paying attention to to see who may not have full access to the political process.
