As you can tell, I still have a problem. Because of Wachovia, we still have a problem. Unfortunately, we just found out yesterday that the corporate office of Joe's company did not get the direct deposit form for the new bank account until after it sent the payroll information in & his paycheck this week is not scheduled to go into the new account now until next week. We are currently overdrawn at Wachovia by $465.25 because they are still trying to bounce checks for the same 2 companies that I have already complained about twice.

Rule of Three

From The 77% Weekly

A wise woman I know recently explained to me what she calls "The Rule of Three."

You can tell someone to do something once.

You can tell someone to do something a second time.

You can even tell someone to do something a third time.

But, that's it. After that you have to respect their freedom of choice to do what they want. What a liberating truth!

I can be involved in other people's lives, but if I give them advice and they don't take it, I need to remember that it's their life, not mine!

With a little help... please?

I'm pleased to have escaped the clutches of PCdom and MS operating systems... back to a Mac.

It's been 14 years since I was unwillingly dragged into the realm of PCs... and it was horrifying to find how much I've forgotten.  I had to go back and figure out how to cut and paste--dammit, which key is it?  The shame....

So I've got a lot to relearn, and to learn, too.

Nouns, Verbs, Changes

Some of us here may have had times in our lives when Faith was a noun, something that we recognized, something we held, but didn't do much with. I was like this for a long time, have a noun of a faith, trying on different nouns because I liked the sound in my mouth.

Then I found a Faith that was more active, more like a verb. I discovered a Faith that was about doing more than not. Orthoprax a friend called it, rather than orthodox.

Right now, though, I feel like it's the wrong verb.
