God's care and the Devil's accusations

Sat Jul 19, 2008 at 07:02:44 AM PDT

John McCain is merciless and punishing whomever fails to respect him as a measure for psychological strenght. He is judging about the souls, and people are welcoming his conclusions. He and George Bush are putting themselves into the position of the public accusers of Americans and of the rest of the world. However the Bible tells us that in the spiritual the accuser is also the devil.
The Biblical idea is that the power of God is fulfilled only in weakness.

The Tao-Te-King the sacred book of Taoism rightly declares:"All creatures and plants are delicate and weak when they are born, but when they perish, they are strong and powerful. What is strong and powerful is destroyed, and what is weak and delicate begins to live. For this reason a strong army does not conquer, but is destroyed like a strong tree. That which is strong and powerful does not have the same advantage as that which is weak and delicate."

If you just say up is down people don't know what to make of it.

McCain: Obama an extremist and possibly a socialist. Check out this video at about 2:30 from the end of the clip.
Also note the portion about McCain's changed position on the Bush tax cuts in which he just lied through his teeth about his own record. He never gets called on this sort of stuff.

Tepid toward McCain in the land of the Dutch Reformed

Thu Jul 17, 2008 at 07:02:13 AM PDT

The Associated Press article, "McCain Hasn’t Ignited the Passions of Evangelicals," offers a glimpse of conservative Christians' rather tepid response in a very Republican region of Iowa to Sen. John McCain's candidacy. Dave Mulder, a retired professor from Northwestern College in Orange City, remarks:

I think people here genuinely believe that George Bush and his Christian faith was very sincere.... People have said that when they talked to him, he took time to let them know how much that Christian belief meant. For McCain, I just don't think there's that same enthusiasm.

Now, an editorial commentary--and something of a correction to the AP article--from me, who attended Northwestern College:

John McCain between the transcendental and the frivolous

Mon Jul 14, 2008 at 02:15:02 AM PDT

What is missing between the transcendental and the frivolous?
I would suggest it is John 1, 1 to 4 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men"
and the first Amendment of the American Constitution: "Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression."

Which we all agree should be substituted through the subconscious will and above all the "Superior Will" which was the favorite code phrase of Ronald Reagan and his conservative revolution.
Now what is missing between John McCain's transcendental and frivolous?

John McCain, the Knight of the Sad Barbie Doll

Wed Jul 09, 2008 at 02:07:39 PM PDT

Reason magazine contributor Greg Beato  is reporting that: "Iran is terrified of Barbie, the tiny polyvinyl sex bomb ... According to Iran's Prosecutor General, Ghorban Ali Dori Najfabadi, ... Barbie is doing 'irreparable damage' to Iranian children...Once there, however, they make the best of it, embodying the traditional American values of self-determination and haircare-and potentially exposing impressionable Iranian minds to phenomena as diverse as Frank Sinatra and ... the occult."

Just how stupid are we?
Bob Edwards Radio.com explores Rick Shenkman’s new book, “Just How Stupid Are We?: Facing the Truth About the American Voter“:
–Only 2 in 5 voters can name the three branches of the federal government.
–Only 1 in 7 can find Iraq on a map.
–Only 1 in 5 know that there are 100 federal senators.
And the most chilling…
–Nearly half (49%) of Americans think the President has the authority to suspend the Constitution.

McCain's zen budget plan:  It is a plan; it is not a plan.

But here's the thing. McCain doesn't have any numbers. None. Not vague numbers of fuzzy math. He just says he's going to do it. Any other candidate would get laughed off the stage with that kind of nonsense or more likely reporters just wouldn't agree to give them a write up. But this is all over the place.

But, of course, the media are giving McCain a free pass on this, too.

Media too polite to say Helms was racist and homophobe

When he made an appearance on CNN’s Larry King Live in Sept. 1995, a caller praised him "for everything you’ve done to help keep down the niggers."

Helms looked in the camera and replied, "Well thank you, I think."
