SAVE THE POOTIES: Itty Bitty Kitty Committees Need Emergency Foster Homes
If you've ever wanted the joy of kittens but not the responsibility, you might enjoy this chance.
UPDATE: The pooties are saved! The local Humane Society is going to give some an isolation room until they're big enough or well enough. I'm leaning toward taking mine and her herd; the rescue org is lending me a big cage for my screened porch, and my vet has given me instructions for keeping ringworm out of the house and away from my cats. Just a personal opinion, but I think prayer works. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and contributed good energy.
Dog Story, Northwestern SPers--PLEASE read.

Hi! As most of you know, I am a sucker for anything with a wet nose and a fuzzy face (sometimes even those without wet noses, but I digress). I saw this diary over at the Big Orange Satan and invited wren to join us over here at little blue. Since we have such a large Northwest Coast contingent, I thought maybe we could help. She is one of our newest members, but as such, can't post a diary for a week, so I told her I would post it for her---
I looking for a home for a dog. I want her to go to someone who is a real dog person, someone with empathy for animals, who will see her as a personality, not a status symbol, lawn ornament, or animated teddy bear. I hope to find someone who will love her.
Her name is Lassie but she is not a collie. I don't know what all went into her makeup but some of it is pit bull: she has a pit bull head. Her plume tail curls over her back when she is happy: husky? Her fur is thick, especially around her neck: collie? She weighs about sixty pounds and has long legs: retriever? Let's just say she is a pure authentic mixed breed stray dog.
