So I found out I was the Savior today...
Tue Aug 21, 2007 at 11:55:27 AM PDT
Okay, I didn't.
But the idle thoughts of idle minds popped in my head and I wondered a few things.
What if the Powers that Be happened along and said, "Congratulations! You're now the Savior of All Mankind!"
What would you do?
I will not go into the night with out that good fight...

This diary by Mftalbot inspired me to write this. I understand the depression.
But I also believe that American's are not as jaded as one might think. The problem is not that we are apathetic, nor selfish.
The problem is that we are human.
More below the fold
And so 3000... and so 600,000 plus...

What have we lost in 2006?
How many more lives besides the count put forward by the media.
Of course there are the many deaths of other causes, from heart, accident, to old age.
All of them unnoted by all but the personal.
But they are gone nonetheless.
In a cold hard look, taken from the far away eye, it can be something almost easily past off as, the cycle of life and death.
But they are gone.
And now, here is a little bit a different take on just what was lost.
Would any one care for an outsiders POV

Update [2006-8-25 16:10:40 by Matthew Krell]: - From the diaries by MK. No further comment.
Since coming here, I've seen one thing that I shrugged off, as did many I suspect.
There are those who come here to argue against the Far Right and fundamentalists and it is done as Christians.
Okay no problem. It's the base cause of what's going on so naturally you would do this.
And then, after writing the I am Human diary.
I realized that perhaps it should be turned around.
Fighting as Christians on the Left is the problem.
Because you're not 'Christian'.

When the universe realigns in one's life...
Sat Jul 22, 2006 at 08:33:37 PM PDT
What does one do?
I think that many here understand what I speak of.
One reaches a point in the eternal search of who they are, where they stand, and why they exist, to have an entire run of thoughts flash through your mind, literally realigning every view point you've ever had into a new paradigm of existence.
Ironically, just before finding 'Prophecy Street', I had this precise thing happen to me.
And when it did, my faith in humanity came to be restored in spite of everything going on.
Yes, I beleive, that, no matter what, humanity is still a precious and good force in the universe and our world.
Curious? Follow me.
Oh just ask...

That's all. Just ask. Try to answer it or let someone who's smarter and knows more on the subject ask.
The Second Coming, A Timely Tale Part Two
Sun May 14, 2006 at 09:22:22 PM PDT
The following is more on the legacy of "Gus" than of Eve. My apologies. It will happen in Part Three.
For those who are wondering, I am essentially giving a rough history seen through the eyes of science fiction. Much of what has been written and will be written comes from general history with a few speculation of my own.
Why I am doing this is to show that, each decision we make has it's legacy.
In some cases, they leave a very LARGE legacy. And shows that even individuals make a very big difference.
(I just didn't want to write another Clarence and George Bailey type story to show it though. :P
Second Coming--A Timely Tale: Part One.

JESUS IS COMING YOU KNOW
Yes, He's coming back. I'm sorry true unbelievers, but, I'm afraid that it is quite inevitable that Jesus will return to the world and lead it unto a new path of existence.
But what pray tell am I saying one would ask? Some here might be saying, "Oh my, R Elland has gone insane! We have to get him to the psychologists now!"
Others might say, "Ah... good of you to join us brother. Welcome!"
And then there are those who will say, "So... who is She and when do you think She will be coming around?"
All good points no doubt, and certainly I don't intend to put words in people mouths. So I'll say what I came to say and let the readers be the final judge.
I may have opened Pandora's Box
Wed Mar 08, 2006 at 08:54:25 PM PDT
Okay, I took a hint from Digby.
http://digbysblog.blogspot.com/
I sent a letter to the Argus Leader in Souix Falls, South Dakota. I really wanted them to think about what it is they've signed into existence with all the damned hype they've surrounded it with.
I just pray that I haven't opened up the Pandora's box again.

To Remember one's Humble Place...
Thu Feb 23, 2006 at 08:37:32 PM PDT
The next time you hear someone stand up and act arrogant and 'above all others'...
Merely remember this.
Say in your mind, as if you were talking to them,
"You are one person, among six billion human beings, living on a planet orbiting one single star among trillions, in a galaxy that is one among one hundred billion plus galaxies.
No, really, tell me, how important are you?"
I've done this to a few people who HAVE been just a tad 'above themselves'.
It tends to bring them down to Earth, just a little.
But always remember this, You yourself are one person...
Just a fable of humility. And to show the true challenge of our existence as human beings.
Hugs.
Thinking of leaving? Please Read...

Okay, I just wrote a note to IrishWitch after she said was considering leaving over a contention she has with JCHFleetguy.
To be honest, I wasn't a bit surprised by that. Oh, not specifically with IrishWitch being the one to say it, but that it would be said at all.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I have had just the combination of circumstances happen in my life that I find myself being the one to say this.
Don't leave. Not now. We have so much to teach each other, so much to learn from each other here. Leaving now will very much end in you being the lesser for it.
And here's why.
