Faith Silo Shattered.
Thu May 29, 2008 at 03:17:11 PM PDT
Having mentioned 'an avalanche of noise' at Tuesday Coffee Hour, I was still not ready to be buried in it. But like a little sh*t-beacon, Bartlett blames Mr. Fitzgerald for the need to 'silo information'. Straight up, poof! into a perfect blue sky. All around, apologist after apologist seem to be running, spinning and slipping quickly to the bottom the color of a mountain torrent.
Monday Vigil - By their art.
Mon May 26, 2008 at 09:34:39 PM PDT
Promoted by Rain for awhile...
Blue chambers have been linked in Vigil comment before (1,2)
but please place this front forward in a new window;
for having heard James Turrell lecture recently,
the word 'spiritual' he used a half-dozen times,
and so this 'light-space' can be a suitable vessel here
I hope to remember and meditate and thank again
all those who have been wise and kind enough
to war in service to others and their country.
Folks meet today, at 3-8 Eastern time, or when you can :)
Nuclear Karma
Mon May 19, 2008 at 08:19:11 AM PDT
After the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004, I found self wondering if testing at Lop Nor reverberating to 'south-central Tibet' could sap and undermine in some way the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates, and thus cause an effect. The dry lake bed at Lop Nor (the remains of the Ocean before India's collision) has two horizontal tunnels into northern edge of the Tibetan Plateau.
So, you know, I remember this horrible idea as the plate shifted it's space again in western China creating yet unknown toll. Today that nation had three minutes silence, which is hard to conceive if cast next to the normally teeming population.

Nicknames. If we don't, they will. Left open, the space is filled by detractors who will always fill with an effective insult; 'Puritan' or 'Impressionism'. Seriously it may be fun to play as with a puzzle.
Let's be clear, names that demean the Senator are unwanted. A positive construction is the object, leave please trash where the monster doth enjoy that sort of feed.
Coming to mind in the last couple of weeks;
The Color Lincoln
Thu Mar 20, 2008 at 01:33:40 PM PDT
What color is President Lincoln, I had asked my friend the economic history teacher.
'Blue,' he replied, 'and I have no idea why I said that, or where it came from.'
I had asked this casually after imagining for myself that this color was neither black nor white nor a pale charcoal pink of flesh tone. Green seemed possible except 'Lincoln Green' has an ancient reference to Robin Hood and a good quality cloth the color of moss. Red, due to the state of the Republic is likewise inappropriate.
Vigil on Monday: The Level
Mon Nov 12, 2007 at 07:56:41 PM PDT
Promoted by Rain until after the Vigil
Welcome and thank you for presence here. Often, a little extra concentration is applied for a little while after 8 o'clock Eastern Time, but relationship can occur any time you may join us for a few positive moments. Lets have a look this evening then at a short line or level, that is cast up ahead of oneself, and the above and below aspects that may be inferred.
The Level ought be horizontal to start. It can be as long as you are tall and set about twice this same distance in front of your eyes. Of course it is not material, cannot be seen and to the extent that value (uh-oh) may be ascribed, it is zero, nothing. The lack of existence allows the line to migrate freely, to tip and turn sometimes as harder become the choices and justifications that are applied. The most complex form is the Lincoln Level, and is the shape of a walking stick which we will return to down the road.
Family Reunion: Genomes, Cousins, and the Missing Link.

We know, a priori, the teaching derived from the human genome project: all readers here are cousins. Hard with many facets and lying in the rough like a jewel, this essential gem of research generated from our physical science seems a conveniently ignored truth in our political science.
Vladimir Copyright Vladimirovich
Wed Sep 19, 2007 at 05:21:00 AM PDT
Copyright’ signifies the deft relationship Pres. Putin has with art and culture. The dude apparently has deep respect, which is normal enough and I suppose totally applaud.
I am not sure however that here we have a case of a body who has a sort of ‘secret knowledge’ which is not quite being used for the greatest interest. I am not talking how to have a painting last a millennium besides favorable conditions.
If I may call him ‘Pouter’ in spite of his smiling in a recent image that has him fishing and with his shirt off. It was reported even the Russians were surprised at how obviously, if not a wolf, not a sheep under the cloth. This dog would not have been murdered at Vick’s house.
Administration Wives Since 1960
Sat Aug 11, 2007 at 02:36:33 PM PDT
The Democratic Portion:
President Kennedy's wife Jackie remained on the boards of major art museums until the end of her life.
The late Mrs. Ladybird Johnson sought to beautify the country.
The wife of Vice President Walter Mondale, Joan, worked massively with various arts organizations and is cognizant of contemporary art. Still does.
Ms. Tipper Gore has a degree in the subject, and is often seen camera in hand creating fine compositions.
Art 0, Science 1.

Justification for hauling all the religions into the house of art was made in the last Diary, met with quiet smile, which I know is not a consent. To go forward here; two beauties by themselves: only a context is renewed and unity of religion.
As groupings of ideas, the Hudson River School is one of my all-time favorites for anything, anytime, anywhere. Some of you know these folks, the first American school of painters and not a little bit anachronistic. Sometimes now called ‘luminists,’ Fred Church painted the Arctic and the Andes, Bierstadt was with Lewis and Clark, Durand’s intimacy. This was no localized group of painters. Maybe they were the end of the classical landscape tradition, but they were painting the American environment as objective god. God in the stick, under the rock.
There is no God but Art
Sat Jul 28, 2007 at 02:25:55 PM PDT
is not statement or question but please an expression, units of language to allow context: we were drawing a play in the sand to catch food before we had devised descriptive and technical terms for the complex. A word is all art.
The cross-hatch on the ocher artifact of Blombos is 77,000 years old. To Islam's 1,400 years, Christian 2,000 and so on, it can be thought religion come from art, not the other way round. Intelligent Design is called art. Every day, faith and motive drive artists the world over to create something from nothing. If there is functionality, it will have life. We created God created a work of art.

Thursday evening Muslims bow to Sabbath. Friday sunset comes and Jewish folks follow form, until Christians take over the responsibilities Saturday nightfall through Sunday.
I try to care a moments thought for each, but if old God has three special days, humans have come so far that perhaps we ought have one.
A day for us; not to work or worship but rather pay attention to one’s own life, spend day with family, teaching children, unconditional love to the elderly, the animals, the garden. Picnics likely will be my favorite!
